It was a bad challenge and I'm just happy for Eduardo that he will play football again at all. To say he should be back to full fitness in nine months is amazing.

There's no doubt that the tackle will have been done to scare them and Eduardo with his quick feet was probably a main target, but I don't think Taylor meant to do anywhere near as much damage as he did. It was probably more clumsy than anything, but at the same time you cannot dismiss the fact that his foot was way above the ball.

I agree that a life time ban is a bit extreme and I respect Wenger for taking back his words. I don't see Taylor as a particularly malicious player and he does seem genuinely saddened by what he has done, so I just hope he does not receive too much abuse in the coming weeks.

As for Arsenal, it does seem that their season, that started so positively, could now end up without any silverware. I think they will bounce back from Saturday's draw and get a result against Aston Villa on Saturday, but they are going to have to keep picking up consistent points because I cannot see Man United dropping too many.

It will be a tough game at the San Siro, but you have to remember that they only need one goal and Milan are immediately pressured to score two. Teams are never good in them positions.
