Hmm, Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger will feel otherwise. The Champions League is the ultimate prize for them. It is human nature that they do not treasure what they have, instead what you don't have is always the best.

It is the way Benitez has gone about things that the CL looks a bit downgraded. Trailing behind in domestic league and being beaten by minnows in other cup competitions, yet winning with ease in the CL.
Coming back from the dead so many times, I wouldn't be surprised they proceed all the way to the finals again.

But the Premier League title is not to be ignored. Hopefully, Benitez shows more consistency here. Maybe without the distraction of CL since fourth spot is highly contested this season, we could see a different Liverpool next season.

I agree with Madhur. League titles should always come first. CL is prestigious but it is a tournament.

You know, interestingly Liverpool are like AC Milan. Mediocre in league play but lights out in tournaments. They are obviously employing the wring tactics/strategies in their respective leagues.

Good description on the Inter/Liverpool game. The ref was indeed a little harsh. I would have enjoyed the game better 11 aside.

But Materazzi is a live and die by the sword type of player. Donadoni should reconsider using him.

As for Arsenal, what a splendid team. I am a Milanisti but Milan fans and players are in admiration of Arsenal. Just a great team.
